Healthy habits

A healthy relationship with drugs and alcohol is about exploring different ways to reduce your use, rather than giving it up entirely. Eventually, you’ll have it under control to a point where it won’t impact your chances at getting a rental.

What does 'Bidee' mean

In the local Noongar language, Bidee means ‘path’, symbolising the safe path young people choose when making better decisions around drugs and alcohol.

We designed Bidee to help young people feel safe and supported as they work to create a healthy relationship with drugs and alcohol. As a culturally sensitive program, Bidee is for all young people, whatever your background.

To best support you on your personal recovery pathway, our approach considers any mental health or trauma needs as part of a holistic journey of education and harm reduction that moves you towards a life where alcohol and other drugs is no longer a barrier.

What you'll learn at our workshops
What you'll learn at our workshops

Our passionate Wellbeing Facilitator delivers a range of youth drugs and alcohol education workshops designed to get you on the right track. The focus of the workshops is often harm-reduction strategies, where you’ll find ways to reduce use of alcohol, cannabis, or other drugs to the point where it's manageable. However, they also cover a range of other complementary strategies that build your ability to function without it, from sleep strategies that do not include cannabis, to practicing mindfulness through craftwork, or using sensory toys to ease your feelings of anxiety.

To complement our series of youth drugs and alcohol advice workshops, we’ll also connect you to a range of other wraparound support services that help you grow as a person and live the life you choose.
