How to apply
Our staff are available from 9am–5pm weekdays to discuss your needs and take applications.
We will assess your application within 24-48 hours. The Housing & Homelessness Team will then contact you to make an appointment to discuss your needs in more detail. To ensure we can help you as soon as possible, please bring proof of I.D. and evidence of income (e.g. Centrelink statement) if you have an income to your first appointment.

Here are a few boxes you need to tick:
- 15 – 19 years of age
- Willing to participate in an assessment of housing and other needs by our Housing & Homelessness Team
- Willing to work with our Housing Homelessness Team to address personal barriers to gaining accommodation (while planning to transition into more stable and longer-term accommodation)
- Willing and able to engage with other organisations that provide additional support for things like mental health, alcohol and other drugs
- Have a regular source of income (we can help you apply for Centrelink payments)
- Have independent living skills (e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, using public transport)
- Accept and abide by the terms of the Licence to Occupy
- Be willing and able to live communally
Bunyap House has room for you and 5 others (6 in total). If a room opens up, we’ll assess you situation to make sure you’re the right fit.

Once an existing tenant vacates a YASS property and becomes available, we’ll assess your situation to make sure you’re the right fit. Ngalla Maya has room for you and 3 others (4 in total). When a housemate leaves, we’ll make sure you’re the right fit for this safe,
confidence building environment.

- Willing to participate in an assessment of housing and other needs by our Housing & Homelessness Team
- Willing to work with our Housing & Homelessness Team to address personal barriers to gaining accommodation (while
planning to transition into more stable and longer-term accommodation) - Willing and able to engage with other organisations that provide additional support for things like mental health, alcohol and other drugs
- Have a regular source of income (we can help you apply for Centrelink payments)
- Have independent living skills (e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, using public transport)
- Accept and abide by the terms of the Licence to Occupy
- Be willing and able to live communally.

planning to transition into more stable and longer-term accommodation) - Willing and able to engage with other organisations that provide additional support for things like mental health, alcohol and other drugs and Family and relationships support
- Have a regular source of income (we can help you apply for Centrelink payments)
- Have independent living skills (e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, using public transport)
- Accept and abide by the terms of the Licence to Occupy
Community Housing is allocated via the Department of Communities Joint Wait List. Applicants must have completed a Department of Communities application form and be on the Joint Wait List. Further details and the form are available from the Department of Communities website.
Rent levels for these properties are set according to a household’s income.
Accordwest allocates homes to people at or near the top of the Joint Wait List, as per the rules set by the Department of Communities.
