Breaking the cycle of homeless youth

When things aren’t going so well at home and you’re staring down the barrel of a night sleeping rough or sofa surfing, your safety matters most. Our Youth Homelessness program is for times when you find yourself in a crisis like this. Maybe things are starting to break down with your parents and you don’t know where to go. Maybe you’ve already left home and are moving from house to house. It’s time to find a safe space surrounded by people who care.

By reaching out, you’re starting a journey that will set you on a path of independence. Youth Homelessness knits together youth crisis accommodation and wrapround supports with a goal to listen, educate, and support homeless youth to end the cycle for good. Across 3 programs, we collaborate with you to understand what’s going on, identify goals, and build the skills you need to live the life you choose, so you’re ready to find a community house, private or shared rental of your own.

Spark positive change

While we can’t guarantee youth housing, you won’t fall through the cracks. Our goal is to connect homeless teens with supports that move them away from unsafe environments and closer to a place where you feel secure, confident and in control.

Be more independent

Whether you’re facing homelessness for the first time or are struggling after leaving home, you’ve got this. We help homeless youth build the life skills to look after you, and make good decisions that set you up for a brighter future.

Set and achieve goals

How do you see your life working out? Where do you want to be in a week, a month, a year? Your support crew is here to understand what’s going on, help you set life goals, and start thinking about how we bring them closer to reality.

Unlock opportunities

Ultimately, our homeless youth programs gets you ready for when a stable place to live comes up. We find the best use of our time together is to enhance your ability to live a stronger, safer, more fulfilling life of independence.

The path to better relationships

Our Youth Homelessness program goes beyond simply finding you a place to stay. We’ll support you to identify the changes you need to create the life you want, working with you to find the solutions that help get you there. We’re excited to walk alongside you as you begin an individual journey designed and driven by you to set you up for long-term success.

Let’s chat

The first step is to tee up a chat so we can get to know you. If you’re 16 or older you can come by yourself. If you’re 15 or younger, you’ll need a parent, guardian, or child protection worker to support you.

This is your safe space

Many homeless teens and young people who access our Youth Homelessness program have found themselves in an unsafe situation, whether it’s overcrowding, drug use, physical violence, or stress that’s taking a toll on their mental health. If that sounds like you, just know we’re here to help you feel safe and supported knowing you have someone looking out for you. Our role is to give you the time and space to take control of your situation, whatever that looks like. You control how your journey unfolds – we simply act as your support crew, offering directions, cheering you on, and working hard behind the scenes to make sure you’ve got everything you need to get where you want to go.
